In this space, we shall take up the latter part in an elaborate manner.

No matter how reluctant you are to admit that DIY carpet cleaning isn’t your thing,

We know you spend hours on the internet reading articles and watching tutorials discovering the best hacks to clean your carpets with an objective to save a few bucks here and there.

Most of the information articulated regarding carpet cleaning is expressed by users just like you and many others and not by the industrial expert.

The credibility is not established despite their best views and followers.

Some of the best carpet cleaning solutions are already a part of your kitchen cabinets.

We are not kidding! Yes, they are highly efficient! Other added advantages are they are readily available and are cost-efficient.

Let’s spill the beans now!

7 carpet stain removers you probably have in your house.

1. Baking Soda

And you thought you it is only used to bake cakes or chemistry lab!

If you have your research over the internet, you know it the best remedy to clean pet urine and vomit stains.

Wipe what you can and then pour baking soda over the affected area and dab gently with a dry towel.

Allow the homemade mixture to dry before vacuuming the residue.

Baking soda has supreme cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing abilities.

It can also be used to eliminate greasy stains when combined with equal parts of salt. You can use a stiff brush to help you along the way.

2. Vinegar

Vinegar is the king of all stain removal and cleaning in general.

Vinegar works magic on the majority of stains. Here are our few favorite formulas you can try.

For tiny and light stains, use a  mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let the solution dry, then vacuum.

Rub larger darker stains add 2 tablespoons borax to the mixture and apply the same technique as above.

For beverage stains (tea & coffee) combine white vinegar with equal parts of water and blot the stain.

3. Shaving cream

Lift out juice and liquid stains from your carpets or rugs by using a shaving cream.

Mark the stain and pat it with a wet sponge, squirt some shaving cream on it, and then wipe clean with a damp sponge.

Spritz some shaving cream on it and wipe it clean with a damp sponge. Shaving cream can also be used on grease and oily stains.

4. Beer

You can literally banish that impossible tea or coffee stains by carefully pouring beer on the top of it.

To make the stain disappear rub the beer into the material. Repeat if necessary to remove all traces of the stain. Cheers to that!

5. Ice cubes

We all know how annoying it is to have chewing gums get glued deep into our carpet fibers.

If nothing has worked well so far in extracting them without damaging the carpet fibers it’s time you try applying ice cubes to it.

Rub ice cubes over the sticky part and use a butter knife to finally pluck out from the root.

6. Club soda

Use club soda to remove pet urines and other stubborn stains.

Use a paper towel to soak all the excess urine, soak it with club soda, and scrub with a diluted shampoo.

Club soda can also be used to clean beverage spills.

7. Paint Remover

For complex stains like nail polish, inks, and paints use a paint remover. Dab it gently and it is done.
